VAST is pleased to present our custom, remote engine tuning service. With the release of direct fuel injected engines in 2006, we have invested heavily into calibrations and the ability to reliably port flash via OBD.
This tuning is for the Bosch MED7, MED9, MED17 or SIMOS 8.x, 16.x, 18.x computer generations. Please contact us before ordering on this page, so we can adjust pricing for your needs accordingly.
Our base typical tuning gains, for smaller turbocharged vehicles, will add 40-50chp and 80ftlbs of torque. Stage 2 will typically gain an additional 20chp and 20ft-lbs of torque. With stage 3, the sky is the limit but typical vehicles we have tuned reliably in the 400-500+whp range. On larger displacement turbocharged vehicles, expect these numbers to nearly double. On Normally Aspirated vehicles, expect about 3/4 of the gains.
Our flashing system is on a loaner basis only and will require you to do the following:
-Have a means to diagnose the vehicle. We recommend www.ross-tech.com VCDS.
-Have an adequate battery maintainer capable of always keeping system voltage above 12V while flashing otherwise, the controller being flashed may crash and result in an expensive dealer visit or additional recovery charges by VAST.
-Windows 10 or newer laptop with a means of remote access by VAST.
-Any hardware we recommend or you have not purchased yet, we would advise you please shop with VAST so we can control as many variables as possible.
-Adhere to our hardware guidelines and if a competent, licensed technician has not worked on the vehicle, be sure the vehicle's hardware is 100% before expecting the tuning to be functional. If the vehicle is not ready for tuning, we will need to arrange to have our tuning suite returned in order to support another customer.
For automatic transmission Audis(ZF 8 Speed, some 6HP19 and dual clutch gearboxes), we recommend our custom TCU tuning to experience improved shift firmness and and faster shift times. Our tuning suite can cover this and will be an additional charge.
Our Engine controller flash can be done via OBD port or with the ECU out on the bench.
Our Transmission controller flash is an OBD port flash but can also support bench mode, if needed.
